The Rackhouse Tavern located in the historic Campbell House Lexington - Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking experienced Cooks join our Rackhouse Tavern and banquet culinary teams. You must be a motivator and passionate about providing service excellence to others.


The Rackhouse Tavern is a Lexington favorite located within our hotel and serves a fusion of traditional and innovative dishes inspired by regional ingredients and local heritage. As a proud member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, we feature an amazing selection of over 300 bourbons and local brews on tap.
Position Purpose:

Completes all assigned prep work and sets up cook's station. Maintains product presentations, product quality. Prepares all menu items according to the Campbell House Recipes, plate presentations and specifications. Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

Essential Functions:
•Provide excellent customer service
•Prepare menu items according to Hilton Garden Inn's Recipes.
•Be prepared to work on the line, prep for banquets or future shifts, cook bulk meals for banquets.
•Maintain high standards for plate presentations & specifications.
•Set up workstation/ break down work station
•Practices sanitary & safe food handling at all times.
•Clean & sanitizes the work area before, during, & after shift.
•Completes assigned daily & weekly cleaning projects.
•Maintain/control inventory of food stock and supplies
•Stock items using first-in/ last-out method. Date items newly received/ prepared.
•Maintain behind the scenes area for safe and efficient work practices.
•Be prepared to help in dish room when short-handed.
•Other duties as requested by a supervisor of which you are capable.

•Prepare quantities of food required with a minimum of waste & will be held accountable for food cost.
•Organize and prioritize work assignments.

•Prepare and serve food in an allotted time and on schedule.
•Safely store and hold food.
•Maintain good working relationships.
•Understand and follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
•Maintain kitchen, dining area, kitchen utensils and equipment in a sanitary manner.
•Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Willingness and ability to accept shift work required.
